Cola dell'Amatrice was an Italian painter, architect and sculptor. He worked in various localities in central Italy but has resided and worked mainly in Ascoli Piceno. He trained with Dionisio Cappelli and developed a reputation for his ability to bridge past painterly approaches with contemporary trends. His style is reminiscent of Raphael's works. He designed the facade of the Church of San Bernardino in L'Aquila and the Duomo of Ascoli Piceno, among other notable projects.
