Jacopo Filippo d'Argenta, also known as Jacopo Filippo Medici, was an Italian illuminator active in Bologna and Ferrara between 1469 and 1501. He is known for decorating a set of liturgical books for the Cathedral of Saint George in Ferrare on commission from Bishop Bartolomeo Della Rovere (later Pope Sixtus IV). For these 19 manuscripts, he collaborated with scribe and lettering artist Fra Evangelista da Reggio and occasionally with Martino da Modena and Giovanni Vendramin. He worked at the head of an atelier, receiving payments for these works between 1478 and 1501. In parallel, he also worked on the realization of 17 liturgical books for the church of Saint Francis of Assisi in Brescia.
