Norval E. Packwood, Jr. was a Technical Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a combat artist during the Korean War, creating drawings that captured the realism and history of the war. After the war, his work was returned to his home of record. Packwood also authored the comic strip 'Leatherhead in Korea' in 1952. He is known for his realism and ability to preserve the history of World War II.
