Theodore Delachaux was a Swiss teacher, painter, and conservator. He was born on May 21, 1879, in Interlaken, Switzerland. Delachaux studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later became a professor of drawing at the Gymnase in Neuchâtel. In 1921, he succeeded Charles Knapp as the conservator of the Musée d'ethnographie de Neuchâtel (MEN), where he worked until his death in 1949. Delachaux was also an artist and created several works, including a photograph titled 'Chasse au rhinocéros' in 1933.
