Francesco De' Rossi

Francesco de' Rossi, also known as Francesco Salviati or 'Cecchino', was an Italian Mannerist painter born in Florence, Italy in 1510. He died in Rome, Italy in 1563. He is known for his works in fresco and oils, including history paintings, portraits, and tapestry designs. He was a pupil of Andrea del Sarto and worked in Florence, Rome, Bologna, and Venice. He is known for his Mannerist style, characterized by contortions and crowded scenes, and his influences include Giulio Romano, Parmigianino, and Andrea del Sarto.
